About Lis:

Lis is the owner of the Lis March Vocal Academy, where she has taught private voice lessons since 1990. Emily (Nemmers) West was Lis' voice student for several years. She is continually inspired by her students. Lis was guest soloist with the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra for their 2007 Holiday Pops Concert and her students had the honor of singing with the Symphony the following year. She has been the Musical Director for 7 shows at the Waterloo Community Playhouse and for every season of the GBPAC Preview Show. Lis' vocals have appeared on numerous regional and local jingles, including the Iowa Lottery Powerball, Brewster's, and Crossroads Ford. She has been a member of the bands Surprise, The UNI Bearcats Dixieland Band, The Tunes, Mischief, Quickdraw, and Remember the Alamo. Her interests include art history, science fiction, reading, tennis, biking... and she is severely obsessed with snow!
